Eastern Hand Therapy is an independently owned hand therapy practice established in 2002. Operating from 3 locations in Melbourne’s Eastern suburbs, specialised treatment of all hand and upper limb injuries and conditions is provided.

 

 

Staff

 

Hamish Anderson has been an Occupational Therapist for more than thirteen years, and has focussed on treating hand injuries for over ten years now. His training includes 5 years spent working in the United States of America. Whilst there, he specialised in hand therapy, returning to Australia qualified as a Certified Hand Therapist, the highest international recognition of hand therapy skills achievable. As well as managing three private clinics, Hamish was also the Senior Clinician in the Hand Therapy department at St Vincent’s Hospital, Fitzroy, until July 2007.

 

 

Appointments

 

We are available to treat your patients on a same or next day basis. We are registered providers with Work Cover, the TAC, and the DVA, as well as all the major private insurance providers. Pensioner, student and health care card discounts are available.

We are available for worksite, home, hospital, or nursing home visits.

 

A referral is not necessary to see a hand therapist unless you are patient covered by Work Cover, the TAC, or the Department of Veteran’s Affairs. If your condition is treatable under one of the above authorities, please bring all relevant details, eg claim number, to your first appointment.
